IMHO, PKI has been flatlined for years. What's surprising is that one of the leading vendors is finally admitting it. Maybe if it'd go away completely, we could develop a more useful and cost effective technology.

Yield, Cost Lower in Organic Farming. Crop yields on organic farms averaged about 20 percent less than those on conventional farms, but the production used about 50 percent less energy and built healthier soils, a study found. [AP Science]

WSJ.  The US economy's final revised numbers for the first quarter are out.  Productivity grew at 8.4%  Unit labor costs droped 5.4%.  Average hourly compensation grew 2.8%.  An interesing set of numbers on non-financial corporate productivity:  it grew 11.2% in the fourth quarter and 6.7% in the first.  [John Robb's Radio Weblog]
