A new article by Michael Schrage over at MIT Technology Review.  Fairly interesting -- it's about how the demand-side of technology actually plays a bigger role in how new technologies show up in productivity numbers.   The big point is how influential Wal-Mart is as the biggest retailer.   An analyst report said that Wal-Mart's $4B in spending on technology resulted in $40B in spending from their suppliers who wanted to be (were required to be?) compatible.
