Mostly I think it's interesting because I like to think about effect the late 90s had on the skill sets in the tech industry and their geographic dispersion.

I had a great day snowboarding at Kirkwood yesterday. It was cold (below 20F) and windy in places, and snowed in the late afternoon. Even found myself in occassional white-out conditions -- very disorienting. But there was lots of fresh powder, especially on the backside. This is the first time I've ever understood why people like fresh powder. It's like floating. You just have to remember to keep your speed and always have one direction you can go that's downhill.
